Clips from the 1973 IKOR Netherlands TV (now EO) interview with English subtitles:

“ Dooyeweerd’s approach is not reflection on faith with the aid of reason but rather philosophical reflection on reality in the light of faith.
He opens A New Critique not by outlining the neocalvinist religious convictions upon which it is evidently based but rather by examining the nature of theory. Here Dooyeweerd constructs an elaborate argument described as a ‘transcendental critique of theoretical thought’.
The object of the critique is to demonstrate the necessary dependence of such thought upon ultimate religious presuppositions of a pretheoretical character —to contest what Roy Clouser calls 'the myth of religious neutrality.' Dooyeweerd’s claim is that this presuppositional dependence is an inescapable feature of all theorizing, whether Christian or not, even when the philosophy or scientific work is supposedly non-religious as popularly understood.
A part of Dooyeweerd’s larger purpose is to establish the conditions on which genuine philosophical communication could occur between thinkers of radically opposed standpoints. ”

The above is taken, with some modification, from Herman Dooyeweerd: Christian Philosopher of State and Civil Society (2010) [amzn] by Jonathan Chaplin.  Also mentioned is The Myth of Religious Neutrality (2005) [amzn] by Roy Clouser, an excellent introduction to reformational philosophy.
